The Voting Period for the 2026 Municipal & School Board Election is NOW OPEN. 

Election Day is Monday October 26, 2026. 

How to Vote 

Voting in the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election will be conducted online or by telephone. Electors will receive a Voter Information Letter (VIL) by mail, which contains a unique Personal Identification Number (PIN), the website address for online voting, and the telephone number for voting by phone.

Follow the instructions in your Voter Information Letter to cast your vote.

Require In-Person Assistance or Do Not Have Access to a Computer or the Internet?

Visit the Voter Assistance Centre at the Municipal Office, located at 701 Highway 124, McKellar. A laptop is available for electors to vote online, and staff are available to provide assistance as needed.

Please refer to the hours listed below to plan your visit.

Open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

On Election Day, Monday, October 26, 2026, open 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

Did You Not Receive Your Voter Information Letter?

If you have not received your Voter Information Letter (VIL), please contact the Municipal Office at 705-389-2842 or by email at admin@mckellar.ca for assistance.

School Support Updates after the June 1st Deadline 

June 1 was the deadline to update your school support designation so MPAC could provide accurate information to Elections Ontario for the creation of the Preliminary List of Electors, in accordance with election timelines. You can still update your designation after June 1 using MPAC AboutMyProperty™ or MPAC’s online portal for tenants. Your change will be recorded by MPAC, but it will not appear on the Preliminary List of Electors. After submitting your update, you’ll receive an email confirmation. Share this with the Township via email at clerk@mckellar.ca so your information can be updated on the final Voters List.

Voting Dates 

Electors will be able to vote by internet or telephone between Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. until Voting Day ending Monday, October 26, 2026 at 8:00 p.m.
