Zoning By-Law & Official Plan Updates

Notice of Passing By-law No. 2026-42 "Zoning By-law"

On August 18, 2026, Council passed By-laws to adopt the Township’s new Zoning By-law 2026-42 and Official Plan Amendment No. 9 (OPA No. 9).

The Township submitted OPA No. 9 to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) on August 19, 2026, for approval. The Ministry, not the Township, is the approval authority for the Official Plan.

While the Ministry reviews the Official Plan, both Zoning By-law 2026-42 and Zoning By-law 1995-12 remain in effect. Until the new Official Plan is approved by the Ministry, the Township will apply the more restrictive provisions of the applicable by-laws when reviewing planning and building applications.

The Township will provide an update once the Ministry has completed its review and a decision has been received.
